This angle grinder from DeWalt is their latest 5 inch model, and is kitted here in a T-Stak II kit box, 4A charger and most importantly, two of the latest generation pouch cell batteries, the 5.0Ah PowerStack DCBP518. With this 2nd generation of PowerStack batteries, DeWalt wanted to concentrate less on smaller size, and more on the existing 5.0Ah userbase. This allowed them to release a battery with the same electrical capacity, but improved efficiencies that let it give 50% more power, run for 50% longer, and get twice the number of recharge cycles. Remember to register your batteries for the extended 3 year warranty too! The angle grinder, the DCG409, has a similar body to what you would be used to with DeWalt grinders. It also has excellent safety features such as the electronic brake that is capable of slowing the disc down quickly once the trigger is released. As well as an electronic clutch that cuts motor power in the event of a bind-up. The 409 is a FlexVolt advantage tool, meaning that compared to a regular 18V battery, it can take advantage of either a FlexVolt battery or PowerStack battery to deliver more power.
